Budget 2027 will be presented to the Dáil on 6 October 2026. In the days before it, reports point to three measures the Government is considering. None of them has been agreed, and the final decisions will be announced on Budget day.
- Budget day: Tuesday 6 October 2026
- Overall package set in July: €8.5 billion, made up of €7 billion in extra spending and €1.5 billion in new tax measures
- Under consideration: a €7.50 a week State pension increase
- Under consideration: a lower carbon tax rate on home heating oil
- Under consideration: extending the fuel excise cuts on petrol and diesel into early spring
