DáilDex is now an independent member of Leemer Group, the home for projects created by Repath Khan in Waterford. The 90-second film below introduces the group and the different work taking place across it.
The connection is a shared creator. DáilDex keeps its own civic purpose, editorial decisions and policies. Group membership is a way to explain where the work comes from; it does not combine the services or their users’ permissions.

00:00–00:14 An original instrumental score accompanies a point of light becoming a network and a map locating Waterford, Ireland. A laptop opens to introduce Leemer Group.
00:14–00:32 Leemer Labs: model research, training, evaluation and inference appear through a green network and product screens.
00:32–00:50 Critique.sh: recorded code and test results illustrate a software problem, a change and a review.
00:50–01:04 Leemer Chat: a desktop workspace turns into a phone view, showing conversations and a model picker.
01:04–01:18 DáilDex: parliamentary records, a representative’s profile, an illustrative email alert and a source-linked Dex answer.
01:18–01:30 The four product interfaces converge into the Leemer Group wordmark. The closing text reads: Building what’s next. Waterford, Ireland. The music resolves; there is no spoken narration.
One creator, distinct projects
Leemer Group brings together Leemer Labs, Critique.sh, Leemer Chat and DáilDex. They cover different kinds of work: AI research and model development, software development tools, a general AI workspace, and Irish civic information.
DáilDex’s place in that group comes from the person who built it. Sharing a creator does not make the projects interchangeable. A coding tool has a different job from a service that helps you check what your TD said, follow a vote or understand a public decision.
Our policies and editorial control stay with DáilDex
Policy-wise, DáilDex operates independently. We set our own editorial standards and privacy rules. The priorities or product policies of another group project do not set the editorial line here.
For a civic service, that responsibility is specific: explain the record, link to the source, distinguish a politician’s claim from an established fact, and correct mistakes. The same standard applies regardless of which party or person a story concerns.
A group film is an introduction to the work, not a source for a political claim. DáilDex’s explanations and news still need their own evidence. Our methodology and privacy policy remain the places to check the commitments that govern this service.
Where LeemerLabs and Dex Cloud fit
We work with LeemerLabs on model research, fine-tuning and development for Irish civic use. The aim is to make models more useful with Irish public life, source-backed explanations and Irish–English dialogue. Fine-tuning means adapting a suitable base model for a defined task, then evaluating whether the changes actually help.
The Dex Cloud opt-in programme gives readers a choice about contributing civic conversations to that work. When you explicitly enable cloud-training consent, eligible conversations can be used for the Irish civic model-training purpose described in the privacy policy. Any downstream transfer to LeemerLabs requires a separate approved arrangement.
This is a defined technical collaboration. Group membership alone does not give other projects access to your conversations, and this announcement does not create a new permission to share data.
Saving a chat and volunteering it for training are separate choices
Signing into a DáilDex account can save your conversations across devices without opting into training. A saved account conversation is not automatically a training example. Study material remains outside the optional chat-training programme.
You can change cloud-training consent in Dex’s profile or settings. Withdrawing consent ends eligibility for future training use. Guest cloud history is deleted when that consent is withdrawn; signed-in account history can remain available for your own use. Turning the setting off cannot undo training that has already completed.
Your account, subscription and consent settings are unchanged by this announcement. Following representatives remains free. You can keep using DáilDex for the public record, with or without volunteering conversations for model work.
